Zaria (IP) – In Kaduna State’s Zaria, members of Nigeria's Islamic Movement have gathered to mourn the deaths of Yahya Sinwar, a senior Hamas leader, and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, a senior Hezbollah official, both martyred in separate Israeli airstrikes in Gaza and Beirut.

Iran Press/Africa: Israeli airstrikes targeted the two leaders in acts of aggression against resistance figures.

Senior members of the Islamic Movement, including Professor Isa Hassan Mshalgaru, Sheikh Abdulhamid Bello, and Professor Abdullahi Danladi, attended the gathering. In his address, Professor Mshalgaru, a lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University, emphasized unity among believers in the struggle for Palestine’s liberation and the eradication of Zionism.

Sheikh Abdulhamid Bello, in his remarks, reflected on the impact of resistance leaders’ assassinations. “What America and Israel fail to understand,” he said, “is that assassinating these leaders only strengthens the Axis of Resistance, making it more resilient, not weaker.”

Recalling the evolution of resistance tactics, Sheikh Bello noted that Palestinian fighters once threw stones but now have access to sophisticated weaponry, using rockets and missiles against Israeli forces. “The assassination of leaders serves as encouragement for freedom fighters,” he added, asserting his belief that these actions signify the eventual end of Israeli occupation.
