Iran Press/Middle East: Yahya al-Sari said on Friday that the drone unit of the Yemeni army launched an operation against the Saudi targets in southern Saudi Arabia.
Al-Sari denied the rumors on the Saudis' hitting the Yemeni drones and said the drones targeted Najran airport and Khamis Mashit's ammo depots as well as the military aircraft hangars of Malik Khalid.
A spokesman for the Saudi regime coalition Turki al-Maliki had claimed that the coalition had hit four Yemeni drones Friday morning, yet the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces declared that the airstrike against the Saudi regime was carried out on Friday noon.
It is the second retaliatory attack by the Yemeni army on Saudi Arabia in the last two weeks after months halt of drone and missile operations.
During the first operation, the Yemeni army fired ballistic missiles at military targets in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
