Saudi Arabia asks Yemeni army not to release videos of Najran operation
Yemen (IP) - Saudi Arabia has sent a message through Western mediators to the Yemeni army, requesting videos of the military operation in Najran not to be released.
Iran Press/Middle East: Hamid Razegh, director of the political section of Yemen's Al-Masira TV network said Saudi Arabia has sent a message through Western mediators that the Yemeni army should not release videos of the recent operations in Najran, and that a prisoner exchange should take place between the two sides.
Razegh further added that the United States and Britain are trying to contact members of Yemeni Ansarullah movement in Muscat, Oman's capital. Ansarullah spokesman Zeifollah al-Shami said Operation Nasr Minallah was recorded in Najran with about 100 cameras and new video clips would be broadcast in the future.
Earlier, a Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman announced the capture and arrest of thousands of Saudi mercenaries and military personnel during a Yemeni armed forces operation in Najran- southern Saudi Arabia.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree said, thousands of Saudi mercenaries and a number of Saudi military commanders, officers and personnel were captured during Nasr Minallah military operation in Najran.
During the operation, Saudi artillery guns, weaponry and armoured vehicles were captured by the Yemeni Army.
