Middle East (IP): The first aid convoy of Lebanon's Hezbollah for the victims of the Syrian earthquake arrived in Latakia.

Iran PressMiddle East: An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the scale of internal earth waves (Richter) shook southern Turkey and northern Syria last Monday, and according to the latest statistics, the death toll from this earthquake so far in Syria is 4,487 and the number of injured is 7,000. 

According to the Al-Mayadeen network, the first relief and food aid of Lebanon's Hezbollah arrived in the earthquake-affected areas in Latakia province in western Syria this Monday morning.

According to this report, Hezbollah's aid convoy consists of 23 trucks under the "Rahma" campaign, containing food, medical supplies, and other essential needs of the earthquake victims. Also, Hezbollah plans to send another convoy into Syria soon.

In this regard, the Head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, Seyyed Hashem Safieddine, said yesterday that the first convoy was on its way to Latakia, and after that several other convoys will be sent to Aleppo and other earthquake-affected areas of Syria.

Emphasizing that Syria has always been standing by the Lebanese in their time of suffering from pain, Safieddine said that the victims of the earthquake need all the help, and the Lebanese promised to be by their side in this disaster.

At the same time, the army and the Lebanese Red Crescent have also sent a team to Syria to help with rescue and debris removal operations.
