Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran considered the self-immolation cries of the American pilot to be the loud voice of the awakened consciences in the United States against the government's support in the genocide of the Palestinians.

Iran PressIran news: The American Ministry of Defense (Pentagon) announced on Monday that the American pilot who set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington in protest of the war in the Gaza Strip has died.

Before committing self-immolation while wearing a military uniform, this American pilot announced in a live video that he would no longer participate in Israel's genocide in the Gaza Strip.

According to Iran press, the spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani Chafi, responded to this action in the virtual space "X" and wrote:

"Aaron Bushnell, an officer of the US Air Force, set himself on fire in protest against the continued crimes of the Zionists in the Gaza Strip.", showed that the awakened consciences in America are ashamed of the support of this country's government in the genocide of Palestinians."

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized:" Bushnell's cries are the voice of the awakened consciences in the United States against the government's support in the genocide of the Palestinians."

Since October 7, 2023, the genocidal Israeli regime, with the full support of Western countries, has launched a massive massacre in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank of the Jordan River against the defenseless and oppressed people of Palestine, and the silence of the international community and human rights institutions in the face of Israel's crimes has caused the continuation of the massacre of the Palestinian women and children by the war machine of this illegitimate regime.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, about 30,000 Palestinians have been martyred as a result of this bloody war.
