Tehran (IP) - Following allegations made in social media that Behnam Mahjoubi, an Iranian prisoner, was not allowed by the Iranian judiciary to meet with his relatives, the judiciary stressed that there was no judicial prohibition for his relatives to meet him.

Iran PressIran News: Behnam Mahjoubi, was one of those Gonabadi dervishes who disturbed the urban order and security of Tehran and arrested in 2017 during their attacking and killing police forces.

According to Mizan, a person on behalf of the Gonabadi dervishes and Behnam Mahjoubi's mother is allowed to visit the prisoner and become aware of his health condition.

Behnam Mahjubi's mother also visited her son at noon on Tuesday, and despite hospital protocols that say not to see patients while in the ICU, with the help provided, it is now possible for Behnam Mahjoubi's mother to visit him.

Accordingly, the allegation of non-consent to the face-to-face visit with persons is likely to be based on the hospital's medical considerations and has nothing to do with judicial consent or disapproval, because a judicial authorization has been issued to persons requesting the visit.
