Tehran (IP)- ​​​​​​​The managing Director of Khazar Shipping Company said that the company had expanded its activities to the Black sea, the sea of Azov, and India and Pakistan.

Iran PressIran news: The Islamic Republic of Iran shipping has been playing an influential role in the international waters by manufacturing modern and equipped ships.

Davoud Abdar Tafti said Iran had registered 163 percent growth in its transit sector in 2021 compared to the previous year, which is unprecedented in the country's shipping history.

Tafti added that the China-Kazakhstan-Iran container line has flourished and become more active than before in a way that one container ship passes the route every week.  

He said that the Caspian Sea shipping had ordered the manufacturing of two 2500-ton general cargo ships -with the capacity of carrying a container- to a domestic manufacturer. The two general cargo ships will be equipped with the state of the art technologies, including efficiency in fuel consumption and high speed. The construction of the ships will begin in the first half of September.
