IP- Iran's deputy minister of roads and urban development, said the transit of 10 million ton goods from Russia to the Persian Gulf, the Oman Sea, and the Indian Ocean littoral states via Iran has begun.

Iran PressIran News: Iran and Russia have shared strategic interests in economic, military, and security as well as regional and international issues such as opposition to US unilateralism which have led to close cooperation between the two sides in recent years.  

Ali Akbar Safaee who is also the managing director of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization added that Iran's commercial trade with the neighboring countries will increase significantly by adding to the Iranian ships in the south and north of the country.

He went on to say that the problems between Iran and Kuwait on issuing visas should be resolved in order to increase relations between the two countries' nationals.  

Safaee also said maritime communication between Iran's Khoramshahr Port and Kuwait will boost trade exchange between the two countries.

Persian Gulf passenger terminal in Khaorramshahr is one of the biggest and the most modern marine terminals in Iran and has the capacity to transport 1200 passengers every day.
