Iran's Foreign Minister left Moscow for Tehran on Wednesday evening.

Iran PressIran News: On Tuesday 9 May, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left for Russia to attend the Moscow quadrilateral meeting on Syria.

On Wednesday, May 10, Moscow hosted a quadrilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran, Syria, Russia, and Turkey on the Syrian issue; The meeting is a turning point for the transition of the dialogues of these four countries from the security and military phase to the political phase.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, stated that he has a positive assessment of the Moscow quadrilateral meeting and said: "In this meeting, a step forward was taken in order to bring the views of Turkey and Syria closer together."

This meeting was originally formed on the basis of the so-called Astana process, which has been almost the most successful and stable process related to the resolution of Syrian issues since the crisis was erupted in this country since 2011.

At the end of the negotiations on Wednesday, the foreign ministers of Iran, Russia, Turkey and Syria emphasized in a joint statement their commitment to the territorial integrity of Syria, non-interference in internal affairs and the fight against all forms of terrorism, as well as the importance of increasing international aid to Syria.
