Iran Press/ Iran News: Kianoush Jahanpour, Head of Iran's Health Ministry Public Relations Office, said on Saturday that about 6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine would arrive in the country by the end of next week.
Jahanpour added that the 440,000 doses of vaccine would arrive in Iran on Sunday.
"2.9 million doses of vaccine will be imported In two weeks," he noted.
Another 2 to 3 million doses will come from China, Norway, Japan, and other official sources.
Earlier, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani expressed the country's readiness to vaccinate 500,000 people per day.
So far, 4,592,139 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 2,134,662 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 6,726,801 doses.
