Tabriz (IP) - The CEO of Sungun Copper Company of East Azerbaijan said that the Sungun copper mine is the largest copper mine in Iran and West Asia, with reserves of five billion tons of copper.

Iran PressIran news:  The Sungun copper mine is located in Varzaqan county, East Azarbaijan, Iran, 75 km northwest of the provincial town of Ahar.

According to Iranpress, more than 70 manufacturing companies of steel industry, foundry, metallurgy, galvanized sheets, pipes and profiles, refractory parts, rebar, all kinds of aluminum ingots, welding and cutting machines, light and heavy metal structures and production of nuclear detectors are present in Tabriz steel exhibition.

Company primary goal to boost copper industry

Moboud Abbaszadeh told IranPress reporter in Tabriz that the company's primary goal is to develop the copper industry and complete the value chain of copper and downstream industries. The plan is to invest five billion dollars in the business.

Production of complex parts with high alloys

"Masoud Niktabar", CEO of Fanavar Company, in an interview with Iranpress correspondent in Tabriz, said that the goal of this company is to produce knowledge-based products and meet the technological needs of parent industries in Iran.

He added that this technology company supplies parts to large companies such as Tractorsazi (Tractor S.C.) and SAIPA and also producing very complex parts with high alloys are on the top of its agenda.

Production of thickest galvanized sheet in West Asia

"Mohammad Ali Abazari", the production manager of a steel industry, told Iranpress correspondent that this company is the first producer of thick galvanized sheets in northwest Iran and 4 mm Sheets in West Asia.

The 20th international specialized exhibition of Steel, mining, foundry, metallurgy, and related industries is being held for four days from June 21 to 24, 2023, in the Parvin Etesami Hall of the Tabriz International Exhibition.
