Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi has condemned the latest terrorist attack in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, describing it as “a criminal and inhumane act.”

In a Sunday statement, Qassemi extended Iran’s condolences to the Afghan nation, the Afghan government as well as the families of the victims of this deadly attack.

At least 45 people were killed and over 60 others injured earlier Sunday in a blast targeting a voter registration centre in Kabul.

The Daesh terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
