Tehran (IP) - The Head of Iran's Department of Environment said that according to the agreements made with Turkmenistan and other neighboring countries to solve the dust storms problem, it was decided to update Iran's plan for the North and Northeast of the country, and the plan to be considered as an action plan.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran Press news agency, Ali Salajegeh said: "According to the agreements made with Turkmenistan and other neighboring countries to solve the dust storms problem, we decided that by using the data from Turkmenistan, Iran's plan for the North and Northeast of the country to be updated and considered as an action plan."

"To solve the dust storm problem, it was decided that 4 provinces of Iran and 4 provinces of Iraq enter the field area, to implement these measures along with biological methods, engineering, and other methods and the capacity of the two countries," Salajegeh said.

"There was a good interaction between the experts of the two countries in this area, but the changes in the government led to the delay of the works, and we hope that this process will continue in the next government," He added.

Regarding Syria's cooperation with Iran to solve the dust problem, it should be mentioned that Syria has cooperated with Iran and has provided very good data in this field. It was decided that environmental data would be exchanged between the two countries.
