IP- Iran's manufacturing value-added growth in 2022 reached 6.5 percent, surpassing that of 164 countries in the world, according to a report released by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on Saturday.

Iran Press/Iran news: This marks a slight decrease from the 6.6 percent growth seen in 2021.

The report also revealed that Iran's per capita manufacturing value added in 2022 was $825, up from $712 the previous year. Additionally, UNIDO estimated that Iran's GDP in 2022 will have a value-added of 14.7 percent.

Industrial products accounted for 47.7% of Iran's exports in 2022, and the industry's share of the country's employment was estimated at 4.17%. In terms of the growth of the added value of industry in 2022, Iran ranks 49th among 213 countries and autonomous regions.

Comparatively, some countries with lower industrial value-added growth than Iran in 2022 include Brazil with a growth rate of 1.2%, China with a growth rate of 6.2%, Germany with a growth rate of 2.2%, Japan with a growth rate of 4.1%, Qatar with a growth rate of 3.4%, Russia with negative growth at -2.9%, and the United States with a growth rate of 1.7%. Ukraine experienced the lowest industrial production growth in 2022 at -39%.
