Iran mourns martyrdom anniversary of Fatimah al-Zahra

On the martyrdom anniversary of Fatimah al-Zahra, the daughter of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Iran is mourning and covered in black.

Iran Press/Iran News: Today (Sunday), January 17, 2021, is the martyrdom anniversary of Fatimah al-Zahra, the dear daughter of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the wife of Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH), the first Shia Imam.

The mourning ceremony of the great lady of Islam, which is held every year, is underway in full compliance with health protocols this year due to the COVID outbreak and the streets are covered in black.

On this occasion, the holy bodies of 26 anonymous martyrs of the Holy Defense (the 8-year Iraqi imposed war against Iran) will be buried in 19 points in Iran today. The funeral of these martyrs will be held without public ceremonies and in accordance with the health instructions.

These martyrs will rest in peace in Tehran, Fars, East Azarbaijan, and South Khorasan provinces.
