Deputy Social Welfare of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, Ahmad Meydari

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Social Welfare of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare and UNICEF Representative in Tehran discussed ways to prevent and treat COVID-19 during a virtual meeting.

Iran Press/Iran news: Deputy Social Welfare of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare Ahmad Meydari on Saturday in a virtual meeting attended by UNICEF Representative in Tehran Mandip Obrayan, explained the Islamic Republic's move in dealing with the outbreak of Coronavirus, noting "During this time, Iran has gained new and useful experiences in the field of COVID-19 treatment."

Referring to the negative consequences of the US sanctions against the Iranian people, Ahmad Meydari stressed that various UN agencies, especially UNICEF, should take a clear stand in this regard and defend the rights of Iranian citizens.

UNICEF Representative in Iran Mandip Obrayan, while appreciating the cooperation of various Iranian agencies in the provision of pharmaceutical and health items, expressed his full readiness for any cooperation on social support grounds under the Coronavirus outbreak situation.

Mandip Obrayan stated that UNICEF's interaction and cooperation with the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare within the framework of a joint program and in order to serve the vulnerable people will continue to focusing on children.
