More than 11,000 people have now died from coronavirus in Iran, according to the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health.

Iran Press/Iran news: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 2 in the country, 2,656 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 232,863." Sima Sadat Lari said on Thursday.

Fortunately, 194,98  patients have recovered and discharged so far, Lari added.

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 148 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 11,106 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated, "3,097 patients are in intensive care units." 101
