Tehran (IP) - The Deputy Head of Iran's Judiciary for International Affairs and Human Rights said: the root of the maximum pressure of the US against the Iranian people is the Islamic Republic's commitment to the full implementation of the rights its people and all independent nations.

Iran Press/Iran News: Ali Bagheri in a meeting with a group of ambassadors on Wednesday noted that centuries before countries who now claiming human rights were added to the map of the planet, some wise men in this land compiled strong documents to protect human rights.

He added: "In the Islamic Republic of Iran, human rights are the basis of the system's macro-policies in all areas, including political, civil, economic, legal, social and cultural, and even security issues, to the extent that the production, use and even possession of nuclear weapons in Iran are prohibited due to the Qur'anic principle of respect for human life, nature, and environment."

Bagheri noted that according to the constitution, the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is based on "denial of any hegemony and domination, as well as unwavering support for the oppressed around the world" regardless of race, color, nationality or religion.

He reminded that the root of the maximum pressure of the American regime against the people of Iran is the Islamic Republic's efforts to fully implement the rights of the Iranian people and also the unwavering defense of the rights of independent nations.

Bagheri added that "sanctions" are the price of the strategic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in giving importance to human rights and avoiding its contamination with political ambitions and interests.
