Tehran(IP)- Explaining US belligerent policies in the region, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said that the enemies of Muslim nations have targeted Iran's good relations with Afghanistan with a new design to prevent the continuation of solidarity between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: ??????In a meeting with Afghan acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar in Tehran on Sunday, 21 June, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani noted that Iran has accepted more than three million Afghan refugees and provided them with a variety of facilities in the areas of services, welfare, health, and education.

He emphasized the need for the Iranian government and the Iranian nation to continue to support the Afghan people.

The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran also expressed regret over the death of a group of Afghan nationals who entered Iran illegally, noting that while the Iranian police had no role in this incident, a hostile, unprecedented media atmosphere was created in this regard by the enemies of two nations to disrupt the ever-friendly relations between Iran and Afghanistan.

Shamkhani added: "There is indisputable evidence to refute the allegations made against Iran, which, if the Afghan side wishes, can be investigated regardless of the atmosphere made bt hostile media."

Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar also praised Iran's effective and comprehensive support to the Afghan government and people over the years, and said: "we would not allow any third party to damage relations between the two countries".

Hanif Atmar emphasizing dialogue between the two countries expressed regret over some unacceptable actions by the enemies of Iran and Afghanistan, which took advantage of hurting the pure feelings of the Afghan people in the events that led to the death of a group of Afghan citizens.
