Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari on Thursday 18 June reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.
She said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to June 18 in the country, 2,596 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 197,647."
Fortunately, 156,991 patients have recovered and discharged so far, Lari added.
The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 87 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 9,272 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
The official stated, "2,795 patients are in a critical condition."
Currently, 1,344,599 COVID 19 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the country.
The provinces of Bushehr, Khuzestan, East Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, and Hormozgan are in red (warning) condition.
