Syria (IP) - Syrian Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous and the head of the Economic Relations Development Committee of Iran with Syria and Iraq met on Wednesday, discussed expanding economic ties between the two countries.

Iran Press/Middle East: Noting that the economic ties between Iran and Syria are moving in a stable and growing direction, Hussein Arnous said: "Syria has a comprehensive plan to expand and develop its agriculture and food industry."

The head of Iranian visiting delegation, Hassan Danaeifar, for his part, stated that Iran is standing alongside Syria in dealing with "cruel sanctions" of the US.

The head of the Economic Relations Development Committee of Iran with Syria and Iraq also reiterated the importance of mutual coordination between the two countries for overcoming all of the obstacles for economic cooperation.

Both sides also discussed health, infrastructure, and investment cooperations.
