Iran Press/Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari on Tuesday, June 9 about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to June 9 in the country, 2,269 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached to 175,927."
527 of new patients were hospitalized, she added
Fortunately, 132,038 patients have recovered and have been discharged so far, Lari added.
The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 74 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 8,425 people have lost their lives in total."
She stated: "2,639 patients are in a critical condition."
So far, around 1,128,601 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
Earlier today Sima Sadat Lari appointed as the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health. She replaced Kianoosh Jahanpour, a former spokesman for the Ministry.
