In quagmire, Trump talks of negotiation: Iranian official

Tehran (IP) - The Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council addressed the US President Trump and said negotiation with the US is poisonous.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mohsen Rezaee reacted to a recent tweet of the US President Donald Trump on that it is time to make the best deal with the US.

"Even if you come out of a self-made quagmire, negotiation with you is poisonous," Rezaee addressed Donald Trump who suggested Iranian officials negotiate with Iran.

On Friday, the US President celebrated the return of an American imprisoned in Iran by urging Tehran to “make the Big deal” on its nuclear program and dangled the possibility that they would get better terms if they negotiated before the presidential election.

The offer was immediately rejected by the Iranian top officials. Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani wrote on his Twitter account on Friday that "Trump's situation is so disastrous in the international arena, a catastrophe of COVID-19 management and racist arson inside the US. His team has no choice but to portray a false success for him."

The exchange of prisoners is not the result of negotiations and no talks will happen in the future, he added.
