First pharmaceutical shipment enters Iran via Bazargan border

The Director-General of Bazargan Customs Sadegh Namdar said that with the Bazargan border activities' resumption, the first drugs shipment from France weighing more than seven tons entered the country.

Iran Press/Iran news: Sadegh Namdar stated, "This consignment, including anti-serum weighing 7,300 kilograms, has entered the country."
highlighting the value of this drug shipment which is 618,981 Euros, he stated, "This consignment, which was loaded from France, was sent to Payam Customs in Tehran after customs formalities."

"Previously, 19 pharmaceutical shipments had entered the country through Sarisu trans-boundary market near the Bazargan border due to its closure to the border." 

Bazargan custom was established in 1305 (1926) and is the only international Iran-Turkey border, open 24 hours a day.

Iran has three official borders with Turkey, including Bazargan-Maku, Sarv-Urmia, and Razi-Khoi which are located in West Azerbaijan. Sarv has also been completely closed after the coronavirus outbreak, but Iran-Turkey limited rail traffic has been carried out along the Razi border.
