Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking on Monday at the International Conference on 'Ashura Movement and Its Impressions from the Perspectives of Imam Khomeini', Abdolfattah Navvab said: "This era should be called the era of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution, because all over the world we see that nations have awakened, gained courage and confidence in the face of the world powers, and spiritual and divine values have spread among the people."
The representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs added that Imam Khomeini created an awakening in the nations around the world that resulted in the isolation of world arrogant powers.
"Imam Khomeini has always emphasized the continuation of the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the third Shia imam, and the school of Ashura," he said.
Navvab continued, "Like Imam Hussein (PBUH), Imam Khomeini exposed the cruelty of the oppressors and enlightened the people in this regard.
"Quoting one of the words of Imam Khomeini that, "the nation that has martyrdom will not be held captive," the Leader's representative said that with this belief, Imam stopped the tyranny of the arrogant powers and this belief was originated from the school of Ashura.
"Following the way of Imam Hussein (PBUH), he was also benevolent to the people," he concluded.
