President calls for faster operation of water and electricity projects

Tehran (IP) - Iran's President called on the Ministry of Energy to plan for faster operation of water and electricity projects across the country.

Iran Press/America: In a phone call with the Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian on Friday, President Hassan Rouhani referred to the Minister's report on planning to inaugurate 250 projects in this field worth 50 trillion tomans across the country, appreciating the efforts made by the Ministry of Energy regarding the country's water and electricity projects, emphasizing planning for the faster inauguration of these projects.

Iran is to add another 324 megawatts of electricity generation capacity with opening a combined-cycle power plant that has cost nearly €310 million to build, a contractor working for Iran’s Mostazafan Foundation (MFJ) said on Tuesday.
