Iran Press/ Iran News: In response to a question raised by Iran Press on when the virus will be contained in Iran, Kianoosh Jahanpour said on Thursday that it has been a week that Iran has managed to control the virus outbreak.
Jahanpour said Iran's death toll has reached one third right now and hospital admission also has fallen significantly.
He added that some of Iran's cities mainly Khuzestan, southwest of Iran, are yet coping with the endemic but the rest are under control, fortunately.
“If in the near future the trend gets falling and Khuzestan and some other provinces' endemic get halted, Iran will contain the virus soon,” he said.
The health official noted that the country's hospitals have less corona-diagnosed patients and fewer infection cases there are.
Kianoush Jahanpour also said Quds-Day rally will be held via cyberspace to condemn the Zionist regime's crimes.
