Iran’s ambassador to China said his country is ready to expand and strengthen cultural and social ties with Beijing on women’s affairs.

Iran Press/Asia: Meeting with the Deputy Head of China’s National Organization for Women’s Affairs Mou Hung on Wednesday, Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh said that due to the corona pandemic physical meeting of the two countries' women is impossible and Iran is ready to hold the meeting virtually.

Referring to the women-specific Al-Zahra University in Iran, Keshavarzzadeh said the university is ready to sign memorandums of understanding with China’s women university to promote the cultural and artistic activities between the two countries’ women.

Expressing gratification over the defeat of the coronavirus in China with the efforts of the Chinese nation and government, the Iranian envoy noted that Iran also achieved good successes over fighting the virus, despite the US sanctions.

In the meeting, the Chinese National Women's Organization donated 50,000 masks to Iran.
