Iran, China to boost cooperation after outbreak of COVID-19

The Chairman of China's National People's Congress wished good health for Iran's Parliament Speaker in a message said: "I believe that after the end of the outbreak of COVID-19, we will witness further development of friendly cooperation between China and Iran in various fields."

Iran Press/Asia: Li Zhanshu wrote in message: "China and Iran are comprehensive strategic partners and will always help each other in difficult times."

He added that the two countries will support each other after the outbreak of coronavirus, saying, "We want to further strengthen cooperation with Iran against COVID-19 to achieve a joint and definite victory over controlling the spread of the disease."

The Chairman of China's National People's Congress‎ further added: "Although the spread of COVID-19 has created temporary problems for the two countries, the cooperation between the two sides to fight against the disease has deepened the friendly partnership between China and the Islamic Republic."

"I believe that after the end of the spread of the Coronavirus, we will witness the further development of friendly cooperation between China and Iran in various fields," Li Zhanshu said. 

Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has tested positive for the new coronavirus and has been in quarantine, parliament's department of public relations announced in a statement on April 2.
