The Director of Consular Affairs for Non-Iranian Students at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran, Fereyd Rahimi Nadaf, announced that 90,000 foreign students are currently studying at Iran's public universities, Islamic Azad University, medical universities, and other higher education institutions.

Iran PressIran news:  According to Sahab Network, quoting IRNA, Rahimi Nadaf made this statement on Sunday during the inauguration ceremony of the consular office at Shahrekord University in southwestern Iran. He elaborated on the nationalities of the foreign students, noting that most of them come from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Lebanon, Syria, some European countries, Russia, China, and various African nations.

Rahimi Nadaf emphasized that apart from certain specialized fields, there are no restrictions for students wishing to study in Iran. He added that the necessary infrastructure to attract international students, including welfare facilities such as dormitories and other essential amenities, as well as educational infrastructure, have been established.

This significant presence of international students underscores Iran's growing role as a regional hub for higher education, reflecting its commitment to providing diverse and comprehensive educational opportunities.
