Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the pivotal role of universities in propelling the country to the forefront of science, arts, and technology.

Iran PressIran news:  Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new academic year at the University of Tehran, Masoud Pezeshkian addressed students, reaffirming the government's commitment to education and innovation.

“If we have any hope for the future of our country, it lies with universities and academics," the president stated, adding that industrialists and producers also play a critical role in this effort.

Pezeshkian shared his own journey, recalling his determination to study when the country faced a shortage of doctors and said: "I was determined to gain the necessary skills, and I pursued every opportunity to learn, even traveling abroad for further education."

The president continued by underscoring the responsibility of addressing the people's challenges: "We are tasked with alleviating the pain and suffering of our people. I went abroad to acquire the skills to help our citizens, and today I stand here to reduce their hardships because no one else is going to solve our problems for us."

President Pezeshkian: Science, Skills, and Knowledge Must Serve Society

President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the responsibility of students and academics to solve societal problems and contribute to the nation’s progress.

Moreover, Pezeshkian shared his personal perspective, stating, "When I see the progress of other countries, it is disheartening for me. I cannot bear that we remain at this level while others advance."

He stressed that any talent, knowledge, or skill one possesses should serve the society in which they live.

The Iranian President reaffirmed the importance of unity and acceptance of the right message, regardless of political affiliation: "Hell is reserved for those who refuse to accept the truth. Every group or faction that presents the right solution, we are obliged to accept."
