(IP)- Iranian Foreign Minister expressed criticisms of the West's policy in his phone conversation with Josep Borrell.

Iran PressIran news: "If Europe and the West had stopped Netanyahu's crimes, maybe Palestine would not be witnessing this situation now," says the Iranian foreign minister.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed the status quo over the phone with EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell on Monday.

Referring to the Zionists' desecration, an insult to sanctities, extremism, and inhuman actions, an Iranian diplomat called the Palestinians' response " a reaction" to part of the crimes the Zionists committed.

Upon the launch of the unprecedented Al-Aqsa Flood operation on Saturday, the Iranian Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry called the operation the "natural right" of the Palestinians.

Meanwhile, the Qatari government said the Zionist regime is the main "cause" of the escalation of the tensions, calling the Israeli regime responsible for the ongoing tensions.

Criticizing the indifference of the West, Amir-Abdollahian went on to say that in case the West had abandoned its double standards toward Netanyahu's crimes and stopped him, Palestine would not have suffered.

The foreign minister stressed the necessity of the international community's efforts to preserve the rights of Palestinians.
