Moscow (IP)- Iran's Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, has traveled to Moscow at the invitation of his Russian counterpart, Nikolai Patrushev.

Iran PressEurope:  According to Iran Press, Ahmadian's visit comes amidst ongoing talks between the two countries to finalize a comprehensive strategic agreement.

Upon his arrival in Moscow, Ahmadian told Iran Press correspondent that Iran and Russia are "on the verge" of signing this pivotal agreement, which is expected to further deepen their already strong strategic partnership.

He emphasized that the agreement would encompass a wide range of areas, including security, politics, economics, culture, and public affairs.

Ahmadian also addressed the ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip, stating that the issue will be a key topic of discussion during his Moscow visit.

He expressed concern over the ongoing massacre of Palestinians, the ongoing siege, and the lack of essential medical care and other necessities for Gaza's residents.

He reiterated hope that the Moscow consultations will contribute to finding a solution to end the Gaza war and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The proposed strategic agreement between Iran and Russia marks a significant milestone in their bilateral relations and could have far-reaching implications for the region and beyond.
