Iran Press/ Iran News: The third day of the 41st edition of Iran's Fajr International Film Festival wrapped up at 'Pardis Mellat Cineplex' with " Parvandeh Baz Ast" (The Case Is Open).
People rushed to 'Pardis Mellat Cineplex in Tehran to watch the movie and attended the press conference with the participation of the actors and actresses, Producer, Director, and crews of the film.
The 41st edition of the Fajr International Film Festival opens Wednesday.
The festival is a major film event organized yearly to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
Twenty-six movies by filmmakers from 25 five countries have been selected from 588 submissions to be showcased in the international competition of the festival.
Fajr’s international section categories split from the festival in 2014, when the Cinema Organization of Iran, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the main organizer of the event, announced that the international competition would be held separately from the national section for the first time in 2015.
Following the management changes in the Cinema Organization of Iran in 2021, the new director of the organization, Mohammad Khazaei, ordered that the Fajr national and international film festivals be combined again for 2022.
Priority in the international festival will be given to films dealing with topics seeking justice, discouraging oppression, arrogance, global terrorism, violence, and extremism, encouraging Islamic awakening, transcendent lifestyle, family, and human rights, highlighting moral, spiritual, and religious teachings, and fighting discrimination.
The international film festival is scheduled to be underway from February 1 to 11, 2023, in Tehran in two competitive sections and one non-competitive section.
Attending the press brief on 'The Case is Open', the film's producer Ali Ghaem-Maghami said: Parts of the film were written based on a true story.
