The president of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Monday criticized the US for interfering with its investigations and threatening its judges.

Iran Press/Europe: ICC President Tomoko Akane told representatives of the court's 124 member states in The Hague that it faced "coercive measures, threats, pressure, and acts of sabotage".

"International law and international justice are under threat. So is the future of humanity," she added.

Akan referred to the statements of US Senator Lindsey Graham, who called the International Criminal Court a "dangerous joke" and called on the US Congress to sanction its prosecutor.

Graham had previously said in an interview with Fox News: "I am telling US allies Canada, England, Germany, and France that if they help the International Criminal Court, the US will also sanction them."

Recently, the International Criminal Court, condemning the Israeli regime for committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip, issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the regime's dismissed Minister of War, Yoav Gallant.

The ICC's ruling was widely welcomed worldwide, and a large number of countries announced that they would implement the ruling and arrest Netanyahu and Gallant if they entered these countries.
