Yemeni officials have welcomed the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressing hope that it will strengthen regional resistance movements and weaken the occupying regime.

Iran Press/West Asia:  In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Dhaifallah Al-Shami, Yemen’s former Minister of Information, criticized the delay in issuing the ICC ruling, stating, “If not enforced, this decision will remain mere ink on paper and spark public anger.” He called for immediate implementation to hold Netanyahu accountable.

Ali Al-Yafie, Yemen's Minister of Culture, described the ICC decision as a significant step in empowering resistance movements and undermining the Israeli regime’s position. Highlighting the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, Al-Yafie noted, “Israel’s concessions in southern Lebanon mark a major victory for the resistance and the beginning of a real decline for the occupying regime.”

Ahmed Al-Aliei, a Yemeni political figure, echoed similar sentiments, explaining that Israel agreed to the ceasefire because of heavy losses and defeats in southern Lebanon.

The ICC’s arrest warrant accuses Netanyahu of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and using starvation as a weapon in Gaza. Yemeni leaders see the ruling as a turning point in exposing Israeli actions and bolstering regional opposition to its policies.
