Iran Press/ Asia: After an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 shook the center of Turkey and northwestern Syria on Monday, strong aftershocks were also reported in this region.
According to official statistics, around 1,300 people have been killed and thousands more injured throughout this region.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has announced that the total number of people killed in the areas under the control of the government and the opposition is 710.
The first earthquake, which occurred early Monday morning while it was still dark, was also felt on the island of Cyprus and Lebanon.
