Lebanon (IP) - Hezbollah announced it launched an airstrike on Tel Nof Airbase, located south of Tel Aviv, using a squadron of kamikaze drones and achieving a direct hit.

Iran Press/West Asia: While Hezbollah has regularly targeted Israeli military facilities, this marks its first publicized aerial attack with drones on Tel Nof Airbase in over a year.

Hezbollah also reported it fired a barrage of rockets at Israeli forces stationed near Aita al-Shaab, a village in southern Lebanon. The area has been a flashpoint for recurring clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces over the last two weeks, as the Israeli military has conducted ground incursions into the region.

The Israeli military activated sirens in northern occupied territories on Saturday due to the potential threat from bomb-laden drones launched by Hezbollah. Alerts were triggered across northern coastal cities like Nahariya and Acre, and warning sirens sounded in Mateh Asher, Ma’ale Yosef, the Klil settlement, and Ein Ya’akov in western and Upper Galilee. Sirens also blared in Metula, Kiryat Shmona, Kfar Yuval, and nearby settlements along the northern border of occupied territories.

Following the sirens, explosions were reported in parts of the central Galilee region.
