Today, May 21, is designated as International Tea Day which remembers one of the most popular drinks in the world.

Iran PressIran news: Basically, the International Tea Day campaign was launched in 2005 by trade unions, small tea growers, and civil society organizations in Asia and Africa to address the issues of living wages for workers and fair prices for small tea producers.

The day also focuses on deliberating on urgent issues such as residues, climate change, technology, and trends in production and consumption in the tea industry. 

However, apart from the reasons behind the naming of the day, Tea is a very pleasant drink, and all over the world, it is known as a drink that gives people a pleasant feeling.

Iran is one of the Tea producers of the tea.

In Iran, Tea is served with special rituals and Iranians give very special attention to the brewing of Tea.

As one of their old traditions, Iranians spend a good time in the Tea Room (Chai khaneh) which is a teahouse or tearoom that primarily serves tea and other light refreshments.
