Iran Press/ Europe: Defending world champions in all three weights are wrestling in Belgrade, Serbia. Thomas Gillman (USA) at 57kg, Kyle Dake (USA) at 74kg and Kamran Ghasempour (IRI) at 97kg are in action as the Day 8 Competition at Stark Arena in Belgrade continues in freestyle with the qualification rounds through the quarterfinals.
Kamran Ghasempour (IRI) came out blazing against Adlan Visakhanov (FRA) and was up 7-0 in no time. He continued his quick attacks and won 10-0 inside the first period.
In the second match, Kamran Ghasempour (IRI) confirmed his place in the 92kg semifinals with a 7-2 win over Ahmed Batalev (BUL).
The Iranian defending world champion faced Miriani Maisuradze (GEO) in the semifinals and beat him and will face Jden Cox (USA) in the final.
Younes Emami (IRI), Iran's representative at 74kg, won 10-0 against Enrique Perez (GUA) in one minute.
In the second match, he began with a spin for four over Turan Bayramov (AZE). He moved to defensive mode, but Bayramov pulled off an arm spin but only for two. Emami finished with a step out and a late takedown for an 8-4 win.
In the semifinals, he couldn't get past the defending world champion Kyle Dake (USA) and will have a shot at a bronze medal tomorrow.
Later in the night, another three Iranian wrestlers will have a chance and gold, silver and medals.
Yazdani and Taylor set up their fifth career match-up and third in a major final with their third technical fall victories of the day, all without conceding a point.
Mohammad Nokhodi (IRI) will face Jordan Burroughs (USA) in the final and Amir Zare (IRI) will fight for the bronze medal.
