Speaking at a gathering of religious figures, Al-Sudani said that Netanyahu "does not hesitate to use prohibited weapons or spill the blood of Muslims and innocent people."
The Prime Minister warned that the security situation across West Asia continues to deteriorate due to ongoing military operations. He specifically highlighted the bombing of diplomatic centers, stating that such actions expose Iraq to dangerous consequences. He added that perpetrators of such attacks will be prosecuted by the Iraqi government.
Al-Sudani also condemned recent strikes on Hashd al-Shaabi forces in western Iraq, which resulted in multiple casualties. "We do not accept our sons being targeted and will take all measures to protect them," he asserted.
Addressing the broader regional crisis, the Prime Minister noted that Israel's aggression against Lebanon, which has displaced approximately 900,000 Lebanese citizens, has significantly expanded the scope of the conflict. "The war has expanded. Everyone is at risk, and infrastructure projects in the region are also threatened," he warned.
Al-Sudani emphasized that Iraq maintains continuous communication with regional and international parties in an effort to halt what he described as this "devastating war."
