Tehran (IP) - Iran's parliament speaker says developing hypersonic ballistic missiles in the country disappointed the enemies and made lovers of Iran happy.

Iran PressAmerica: The Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh announced on Thursday that the country has developed hypersonic ballistic missiles, capable of penetrating advanced air defense shields.

“The missile has a high velocity and can maneuver both in and out of the Earth’s atmosphere,” the commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, told reporters. "The new missile can pass through all missile defense systems, and I don't think that the technology capable of countering it will be achieved in the decades to come."

Meanwhile, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in his pre-agenda speech in the public session of the parliament on Sunday said: The achievements of Iranian youth in the indigenous ability to manufacture hypersonic ballistic missiles disappointed Iran’s enemies.

Unprecedented maneuverability, breaking the record of speed and ability to pass through missile defense systems plus the ability to target them are among the outstanding features of the new achievements of the Iranian young scientists, he stated.

He added that today, there are many pioneers in the IRGC aerospace force that all of their thoughts and actions focus on building a strong Iran.

Ghalibaf went on to say that as it has already been proved, the parliament focuses on cooperation with the government and despite the differences in opinions, it uses its power to help the government and the President in fulfilling their duties.

Parliament’s monitoring is the best way of cooperation with the government and administration since no organization is able to improve its performance without monitoring, parliament’s speaker concluded.
