KABUL (IP) – Former Afghan Minister of Refugees said that Martyr Soleimani was a brave and full-fledged commander and was not afraid of the United States.

Iran PressAsia: In an interview with Iran Press in Kabul, Hossein Alemi-Balkhi referred to the character of Martyr Qassem Soleimani, saying: "Gen. Soleimani had a unique feature, and he saw with his own eyes that the United States has several hundred military bases in the region, but in such circumstances, he showed no fear."

Alemi-Balkhi said that Martyr Soleimani emphasized standing against the United States and defeating the enemy. "Finally, Martyr Soleimani was able to force the United States to admit that it could not do anything against Iran."

General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) deputy head Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by former President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

They were highly popular because of their key role in eliminating the US-backed ISIS terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.

General Soleimani was assassinated by the US while he was in Baghdad at the official invitation of the Iraqi government.
