Iran Press/ Iran news: Ahmad-Reza Pourkhaghan Shahrezai told Iran Press in an interview in Sari, northern Iran, that the effective presence of martyr Soleimani in the Iraqi Kurdistan's Erbil prevented the ISIS terrorist group to enter the city.
Pourkhaghan Shahrezai said the courageous acts of Lt. Gen. Soleimiani led to the formation and reinforcement of the Resistance front.
Lt. Gen. Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, former Deputy Commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), and their companions were martyred outside Baghdad International Airport last January on the direct order of the former US President Donald Trump.
General Soleimani was assassinated by the US while he was in Baghdad on the formal invitation of the Iraqi government.
