Belarus (IP) - As a part of the efforts of Iran's embassy in Belarus to improve the health condition of Iranian students, Iran’s ambassador to Belarus Saeed Yari met with health and academic officials in Belarus.

Iran Press/Europe: Iran's ambassador to Belarus held separate meetings on Wednesday with Natalia Zhukova, Belarus Deputy Minister of Health, Professor Anatoly Sikorsky, Head of the Belarusian State Medical University and Sergey Maskevich, Head of Sakharov University.

Saeed Yari expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of Belarusian officials with Iran's embassy amid the coronavirus pandemic, calling on Belarusian officials to take immediate and adequate actions to protect the health of Iranian students.

During the meeting, Belarusian officials talked about the recent steps in improving the health of students and academic staff in the country including holding online exams for doctoral students.

Belarusian officials also stressed that visa issuance for Iranian students who want to return to Iran would be done quickly.

Coordination and meetings between the officials of both countries will continue until the repatriation of Iranian students.

Almost 800 Iranian students study at Belarusian universities, most of them are in Medical Sciences fields.
