Europe: Talks at all levels with Iran are going well
A European diplomatic official said that talks at all levels with Iran are in good progress.
Iran Press/Europe: The official said on Thursday that the dispute resolution mechanism, which entails a progression of talks, could be triggered "maybe sooner, maybe later. If nothing changes, don’t know how we can avoid it."
The official who asked to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of the subject told AP that they could decide to trigger a dispute resolution mechanism in the 2015 nuclear accord that could ultimately result in the re-imposition of sanctions.
That's while Iran's position in the nuclear deal was always clear as recently Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said in response to his French counterpart that as long as Europe remains committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action JCPOA, Iran does the same.
"We will fulfil our commitments under the JCPOA exactly in the same way you do," he reiterated.
Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on last Monday that Iran had increased the stockpile of its low-enriched uranium production to over 300 kilograms as had been already announced by the country in line with paragraphs 26 and 36 of the JCPOA. 101/208
