Geir Pedersen, UN Special Envoy in Syria

Middle East (IP) - The UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Syria expressed concern over the Zionist regime's attacks on Syria.

Iran Press/Middle East: Geir Pedersen On Wednesday night, warned of the danger of a return of terrorism and the outbreak of the coronavirus in Syria and expressed concern about the Zionist regime's attacks on the country.

The Zionist regime has always targeted the positions of the Syrian army and infrastructure in order to support and support terrorists.

Six people have been killed in an Israeli air attack on Damascus, a war monitor said on Monday, as Israel confirmed raids on the Syrian capital as well as on the besieged Gaza Strip.

The UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Syria also referred to the ceasefire in Idlib province, in the north of the country, and said that the UN welcomes the ceasefire and the launch of joint patrols between Russia and Turkey in Idlib province.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed on March 5 in Moscow to establish a ceasefire in Idlib province.

The ceasefire began on the morning of March 6, but terrorists violate it every day.

Idlib province is the last terrorist base in Syria.

The crisis in Syria began in 2011 with a massive offensive by Saudi-backed terrorist groups, the United States and its allies to change the region's equations in favor of the Zionist regime.

The Syrian army has recently been able to close the case of the ISIS terrorist group in the country. Other terrorist groups are also failing.
