Iran Press/Middle East: The Iraqi Hezbollah brigades divulged the US plan to attack on the positions of Iraq’s Army and resistance groups through heliborne operation in PMU and Army bases.
Noting that the US plot threatens Iraq’s sovereignty and stability, the statement emphasized that in case of any US aggression, the resistance groups will observe no red lines and target all of the US military, security, and economic facilities of the US.
The US and Israeli regimes have already hit the Iraqi army and PMU positions several times in different parts of the country. After the successes of the Iraqi popular forces of PMU in defeating the terrorist groups in the region, the US and Israeli regimes have increased efforts to put pressure on the Iraqi popular organization.
Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU) or Hashd al-Sha’bi was formed on the order of the Iraqi Grand Shia Marja’ Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani, after the US-backed Daesh terrorist group invaded some parts of the country.
Approved by the Iraqi Parliament in 2016, PMU came under the command of Iraq’s Armed Forces.
