Italian forces leave Iraq

Italian soldiers who were stationed at the American 'Union 3' base in Baghdad were moved out overnight.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to the ANSA News Agency report on Tuesday, Italian troops who were stationed at the 'Union 3' military base in Baghdad, left the area overnight. 

Germany also said that its two bases in Baghdad and Camp Al-Taji, north of the Iraqi capital, with its forces have been transferred to Jordan and Kuwait. It said that the transfer had been agreed with the US-led coalition.

170 Iraqi lawmakers signed a resolution and required the government to request the withdrawal of US forces from the country. This is while only 150 votes are needed for the draft resolution to be approved.

The extraordinary session on Sunday came two days after the US assassination of Lt. General Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces deputy chief Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
