US led coalition command center in Iraq temporarily relocated to Kuwait

The US-led coalition command center in Iraq announced that it would relocate its headquarters (from Iraq) to Kuwait temporarily after escalating tensions with Iran.

Iran PressMiddle East: The alliance took the decision on Tuesday to move its command center from the Iraqi capital Baghdad to Kuwait City, Iraq’s Arabic-language al-Forat news agency reported.

170 Iraqi lawmakers signed a resolution and required the government to request the withdrawal of US forces from the country. This is while only 150 votes are needed for the draft resolution to be approved.

The extraordinary session on Sunday came two days after the US assassination of Lt. General Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces deputy chief Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
